Network Project Manager

Ahead Consulting is seeking a Network Project Manager to work on-site with one of our clients in Tokyo.
The efforts of this individual will focus on the end to end management of projects that are assigned to the network team. 
This individual will need to deliver the required services to the network team and its respective internal clients. 

Essential Job Functions
  • Draft/edit/update all Project Plan documentation for network-centric projects in the capacity of Project Manager.
  • Embed Network Topology Diagrams & Rack Layout Diagrams produced by Network SME’s
  • Define High-Level Milestone Schedule in cooperation with the Network Team, external partners, and other project stakeholders as required.
  • Embed the Detailed Project Plan Schedule received by the Network
  • Input the Financials for the Project into the Finance Template sheet & review with Finance Team the details with signoff
  • Submit all drafted SOW’s to the Network Service Tower Head for review/sign-off
  • Input all PPM time booked towards SOW projects into PPM system
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to produce SOW’s – Network Partner PM & SME’s, internal Network Engineering Teams, internal PMO/Finance Teams
  • Produce PROJECT PROGRESS REPORTS against all signed/approved SOW’s & report them to the Network Service Tower Head for review/signoff
  • Close out all signed/approved SOW’s & close out PPM entries against SOW’s
  • Bi-Weekly status reporting of any projects being managed as per PMO standards
  • Adhere to standard project governance process and documentation requirements as per the PMO
  • Attend regular PMO meetings 

Requirements:
  • Functional understanding of Project Management Methodology.
  • Comfortable with gathering requirements from those of varying seniority and cultures.
  • Understanding of network hardware and topology and terminology. 
  • Functional understanding MS Office, MS Project, VISIO.
  • Excellent documentation skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of IP Telephony (Cisco Call Manager, Voice gateway, Call Center Voice Recording) Knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Network Infrastructure Technology i.e. Routing, Switching, MAN, WAN, QoS, Data Circuits, MPLS, ISDN 

Other Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
  • English Business /Japanese Business
  • Understanding of the ITIL v.3 framework. 
  • Vendor management.
