Network Project Manager

Summary

Ahead Group is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join a client in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects, with a strong focus on IT and network implementations, governance, and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects from initiation through closure, including planning, execution, and handover to operations

• Develop Project Charters, detailed Project Plans, WBS, schedules, and Gantt charts using Microsoft Project or equivalent tools

• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and dependencies

• Track milestones, deliverables, and formal acceptance/sign-off documentation

• Drive change management, including change control logs and impact analysis

• Produce regular project reporting (weekly/monthly status, risk registers, issue logs)

• Coordinate internal teams, external vendors, and service providers

• Manage vendor performance, timelines, and deliverables

• Register, track, and manage project-related activities via internal ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow)

• Maintain project documentation, including rack and cabling records where applicable

• Prepare final project closure reports, including lessons learned and operational handover

Required Skills

• 5–10+ years of experience managing technical or IT projects

• Strong project management expertise with hands-on delivery ownership

• Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies

• Advanced skills using Microsoft Project (.mpp), MS Teams, and SharePoint

• Strong ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk

• Proven vendor management and stakeholder coordination experience

• Technical literacy sufficient to bridge business and engineering teams

• Experience producing formal project documentation and governance artifacts

Desired Skills

• PMP or equivalent project management certification

• Background in IT infrastructure or network implementation projects

• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments

• Familiarity with data center-related documentation (rack/cabling)
