Network Delivery Engineer - Insurance
Ahead Group is looking for a Network Delivery Engineer to support one of our insurance clients. This role focuses on hands-on deployment, implementation, and migration of enterprise network infrastructure, working closely with project and program teams to deliver secure, reliable, and well-documented network solutions.
Responsibilities
• Lead hands-on deployment and implementation of network solutions, including rack installation, cabling, and hardware configuration
• Execute structured implementation plans covering testing, validation, cutover, and migration activities
• Configure and troubleshoot enterprise network devices using Cisco and Arista CLI
• Perform connectivity, performance, and security testing and produce validation reports
• Manage deployment-related tickets, including logging, tracking, and resolution
• Produce as-built documentation, including final configurations, topology diagrams, inventory, and rack/cabling records
• Prepare handover packages for operations and support teams, including training and knowledge transfer
• Collaborate with project managers and program managers to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
Required Skills
• Strong experience in enterprise network deployment and implementation
• Hands-on knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, and firewall configuration
• Experience with Cisco and/or Arista network environments
• Proven experience executing network migrations and cutovers
• Strong troubleshooting skills using CLI and network analysis tools
• Experience producing technical documentation and as-built deliverables
• Ability to work within structured change and delivery processes
Desired Skills
• CCNP or equivalent enterprise networking experience
• Data center deployment or migration experience
• Experience in financial services or other regulated enterprise environments
• Familiarity with network monitoring and packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
• Experience working in global or multi-stakeholder project teams
