Business Consultant – Financial Services

Summary

Ahead Group is looking for a Business Consultant to join a global consulting client supporting organizations in the banking, insurance, and securities sectors. The role focuses on end-to-end consulting delivery, covering strategy development, business process reform, and IT transformation within a global project environment.

Responsibilities

• Support clients across the financial industry from strategy formulation through implementation

• Lead project planning, execution, and delivery, including progress, issue, and risk management

• Develop and execute action plans covering PoC, requirements definition, testing, migration, and training

• Prepare reports and present updates to senior management and steering committees

• Manage client communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination

• Liaise with global and overseas teams in English

• Manage and develop project teams, including performance evaluation and mentoring

• Contribute to account growth and new proposal activities (Senior Manager level and above)

• Plan and execute account strategies for assigned clients

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience at a consulting firm, SIer, or financial institution (3+ years for Senior Consultant level)

• Hands-on experience in the financial industry (banking, insurance, or securities)

• Experience on system-related projects (development, PMO, or equivalent)

• Proven project management experience with multiple project launches

• Strong experience creating reports and materials for senior management

• Business-level English communication skills (spoken and written)

Desired Skills

• Experience as a PM, PMO, or team lead on large-scale projects (50+ members)

• End-to-end system development project experience from requirements through release

• Experience facilitating workshops and meetings in English

• Background in banking or banking-related projects

• Experience working in global or cross-border project environments
